Joy
Wines are produced on Anura Vineyards nestled in the foothills of the
Simonsberg Mountains. Grapes are selected from various vineyard blocks
both on Anura and other wards within the Western Cape. Wines are made
using both traditional and “new world” methods to create
wines with both the upfront fruit character and complex bouquet and
palate. White wines are made in an accessible, crisp and fruity style
with the use of very little, if any oak maturation. The red wines are
all fermented in small tanks with careful attention paid to temperature
and flavour development during the fermentation process. The red wines
are all matured in French oak barrels in order to allow the wine to
soften and develop a more complex flavour profile.
The Bouma family who created these wines named the wines Joy after the
passion and enjoyment that wine making brings. Joy Wines are relaxed
and created to be enjoyed as a celebration of the good things in life. |
